Hello again. Here it is 0040 sunday morning and I can't sleep. I don't know who is louder Miss Kitty or the Ol' Coyote....so hear I am, just popped an herbal pill for sleeping. It's supposed to work in half an hour....yeah, right. I can't even get "good" stuff to knock me out, who am I kidding.
Saturday was a good day. I got my IPAQ and talked with my friend in WA so he could sorta guide me thru some of it. And we did accomplish some of it. I'm stuck right now. I have to download another reader for some things I want to download and the reader I want is giving me problems. So...I deleted it. Now, I have to go back in (tomorrow) and see if I can get the proper download. I think what happened is that the download I got was not for my pocket pc....I'm hoping anyway. (Time out, I have to go throw another log in the fire, it's 1 degrees right now..brb...OK, I'm back. When it gets that cold out, the fire just eats those logs. But, it's neat. I love the smell of a wood stove.
OK, onward and upward. Didn't hear from Alyssia, but we did get to hear from our daughter Kelli and the girls. They are all fine. The little ones are just as rambunktious as ever. Kel is doing a newsletter now, and I know that is fun for her. She is such the artist! I know it's NOT fun diong it on her shabby old computer that only works when IT wants to and not when she would like it to. And then, then, there's the whole thing about getting it out of the computer.....you know like "printing" on a REAL printer...Sorry Kell, I feel for you, honestly, I do. But see what you have learned??? You can make magic.....well, almost, anyway.
Didn't hear from the boys either, but, hopefully that is good news. It's the 2am/3am calls from them that make you crazy. Since we are here in Wyoming and they are in Florida....not like it's a hop, skip, and a jump if something critical were to happen. Oh well, I can't worry about things I cannot change, or have no control over. (I know that is a very poor sentence structure, sorry)
I heard briefly...VERY briefly from Lips. They were in their room awaiting their din din and I answered the phone and she says, oops, our dinner's here, I will have to call you back. WELL, I'm still waiting for the call...that shows you where I fit in their "Getaway Plans" ...lol I know they are having a good time, with all the pinch and giggling goin on....I'm happy they could get away for a couple days, it helps the stress level, what, with both of them holding down good jobs and keeping MWH on her toes. She is on honor roll, you know....Alyssia missed it by one grade...in her elective! Sheesh, shows where her priorities areN'T....
Well, it's been a half hour....hummm. do I feel sleepy....uhhhhh, no! But no surprise.
I have to tell you...The Coyote knew I wanted this IPAQ, ya know, well, we have been on this osterity program...it's killing me, we don't go out to dinner anymore, I gotta think up something different to cook, I hate that...the thinking up is worse than the cooking...and he will clean up, if I cook. So, really, I don't have a bad deal going. But, a woman likes to be treated once in a while. So anyway. He finally spied the IPAQ...I was surprised, he didn't blow a gasket, nor did he flip his lid....he just looks at me with this twinkle in his eye and says, "Osterity program, huh, what happened to the osterity program." Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllll, but he wasn't that upset. All he did is say, "give me some money, I wanna go buy my distributor cap and blah blah blah, so I gave him $40, and sent him on his way.....A HAPPY MAN!!! Thats' the best kind. So then, when he got home and did some stuff in the shop, he comes in and says, "How would you like to go to Powell and have EL TAPATIO for dinner....WWWWWWWWWWAAAAAA HHHOOOOOOOOOOO, he musta been feeling might good. So we did just that. We left and went to the Sunset House (a family restaurant) in town, to see Judy's "engagement" ring. (this is funny because they have been living together for 16 years) But, she got DIAMONDS!!!! Nice ring on her finger, three nice stones. The center one is the largest and the one on either side is just a tweek smaller. So clean and really looks great on her finger. She is so excited we tonld her she better come in for a landing, before the wind catches her and we never see her again.....Those are the first REAL diamonds this girl has ever had.
Ok, then we had a great drive to Powell (30 miles from the house) and a wonderful dinner at El Tapatios. Another great drive back to ...oh wait a minute....I forgot the really fun thing everyone does on a Saturday night....we drove thru the car wash, YYYaaaaaaaaa Hoooooooooo....big night on the town!!!
If this post doesn't make much sense and is kinda jumbled and jumpy...that's just normal for my brain. It never knows for sure wherer it wants to go, or where it wants to be....so I apologize if it was difficult to follow...If I stay at this for a while, maybe I will get better...but, then there is the alternative...but we will dwell on the positive for now....guess I better give up and go back to the rumble room, ya'll take care.
Good night!

ENTER AQUARIUS
Yep, I knew it, we have entered the sign of Aquarius! For me, it is that time of the year when everything goes belly-up. All of the kids are having hard times, we are barely scraping by....sheeesh...I know it is just one of those valleys, but, boy, it's tough wandering around down there. Wishing and a hoping that we can make it to the next peak. That's what the Ol' Coyote calls life....a smathering of peaks and valleys. So, if you are not feeling up to snuff, just know, you are not alone. Remember the sage and wise advise from the ol' coyote....peaks and valleys.
It was 44 degrees here today. Wow, shirtsleeve weather. But, they say, an arctic blast is coming for this weekend, so we shall see. If there is one thing I have learned, leaving in Cody, WY...it's don't believe everything you hear, regarding the weather. It sorta does what it wants, when it wants. It can change 20/30 degrees in an hour if it wants, I've been here for that! It even snowed on July 4th during the parade, once! Son of a gun, just as we sit here talking about weather, the chinook winds are kicking up and the temp is 47 degrees at 7pm, weird, I tell you.
Gail and I went out on the town today, we went to Buffalo Billies, Walmart and the Dollar store....woooo hoooooo....you gotta love living in Cody, WY. The only rub was that we were supposed to end up at the Willow Tea House, a great little eclectic restaurant. We were going to get some scones and devonshire cream for dessert. We got there too late. They close at 3pm....rats, I really wanted some scones and devonshire cream. If you ever come to Cody, you have to go to the Willow Tea House at least for dessert, so you can indulge...you won't be sorry!!!
Tonight is shoot night for the Ol' Coyote. He's at the range shooting targets for high score. That's one of the things he does, regularly, is to shoot.
I'd much rather be doing what my friend Lips is doing tonight. She and her family are driving to Branson for a great two-nighter. They got this package deal (because they live in Oklahoma)and so they are triping the light fantastic. Kaitlyn will, with her mom, swim in the pool, I know that for sure. Then the rest of the time, well, what else...shop and eat....wow, wish I was there to participate. I have never been to Branson, someday, I'm gonna go there!
Can't right now, tho, too worried about the kids. The boys are about to loose their house, split, or file bankruptcy, ugh! And our daughter is (at 36) still trying to figure out who she is and where she fits into the whole scheme of things...I'll tell you, life is getting more complexed as the days go..or is it come...?
Well, I'm getting ready for Valentine's Day. I have got cards and stuff for the 5 grandchildren and cards for the kids, even on for that guy I live with...who won't give me one...oh well, it's not that important. What I really would like would be to go to Cassies (that's the old whorehouse here in Cody from yesteryear). It's the best steak house here...but the most expensive, too. But they have the best lobster in the world...well, in my little world, anyway.
Gee, now that I'm thinking about lobster, I better close...I'm getting really hungry....so, you have a great night, and we will talk again.
Good night!

SHOW NIGHT
Good evening.....It's actually early evening, because Gail and I are goin' to the movies...we are going to see, "Happily Never After"...we need a good laugh..hopefully it will work out that way. It's been a stressful week.
Last Wednesday, I had minor surgery, at the surgery center. It's a long story, but the doctor's office (2-1/2 hours later) was not the place to remove a small tumor. So, he scheduled me in the S.C. a week later. Wow, in the office, it was local only, ouch! I thought I was over reacting until I saw what he took out, yuk! Coyote said the doctor at several times had his finger inside me, under my ribs, to the depth of his second knuckle, trying to dig out the tumor. As soon as he cut to "pop" it out, the tumor fell apart, he said it was like an orange that split into sections...whatever. So, a week ago tomorrow was my surgery for the other two to be removed. I haven't been able to sleep well, because one was on my back and two on my front. There is no position comfortable. Think about it, even when you are on your side, you have to find a place where your arms and legs don't fall off......lol
Other happenings, let's see. Oh, the Ol' Coyote has been working overtime to get things set up so he can build a radio controlled airplane. He has so many hobbies, it's like he nails his foot to the ground and I spin him, and whichever way he stops, that's the hobby he works on for the day. Today was car day. He changed the oil and filter in his truck. Then he drove both the vehicles out of the garage to give the garage a bath. It's been so cold here, and so much snow around, that the "little" chores have been put aside. The other little normal daly chore not been able to do, picking up the poo (I know you needed to hear this, but think about it, it is important) the poor dogs where on their tiptoes dodging all the landmines out there....six shovelsful, peeeeeewwwwww.
Well, after that yuky duty, hahaha, Coyote decided he got a reward. So, he went to his shop an played on his new little car. He drained some stuff and looked at this and that and just loved his new little '87 samuri...we haven't driven it yet.....
Then he even thought of me and checked the other bookcase that is still in the fire savlage. He came in and told me that it needs a back, anad he has the 1/4" plywood big enough to cut, and stain and back the bookcase, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Then we can bring it in the basement, in the theater room to put the extra dvds that wouldn't fit in the beautiful cabinet Mr. C(oyote) made. It really is a great cabinet!
Kitty is doing better. We give her half a baby asprin wednesday and Saturday. Her paw is better, she can walk on it and you can touch it now, without her bitting your hand off. Thank you for all your prayers, in her behalf....I need her.
Oh, the other most bizzare thing the Ol' Coyote did yesterday was to make Fruitcake. Now, this is really strange, for a man that doesn't cook. He loves the real fruitcake, not the kind you buy, the kind Carol Hughes makes. No one, or No storebought fruitcake has ever measured up to hers. So he got a receipe from a family here and he couldn't wait to make it. So, he made it. I came out to see how he was doing....there were no measuring spoons around and I got a little worried. So I said, "have you measured anything?" Oh yeah...."with what?" a teaspoon. Like a teaspoon for drinking tea? Yeah, it's a teaspoon.....Oh Welll....like the man says, "I'm a bad ass, I can do anything"....so I tried to help and helped with the oven temp, paming the pans, etc.....we took it out when it was done, turned it upside down on the wire rack, so we didn't have to dig it out, after it cooled....it's amazing the things men don't know about cooking.....anyway, bottom line.....the Ol' Coyote sez, It's good, you should try it, it's really good!!!"
With that, I'm going to say good night and see ya at the movies!!!!!!!!!

BOOTS ON THE GROUND
HI y'all....is that right, or should it be ya'll, I think that looks better, the latter must be the correct way....ok, so, HI, YA'LL and how do you feel about this wonderful predicament we are in???? I like Julliani.....he summed it all up by saying we have no other choice but to send in the 20,000...it's not a case of the dems vs. the repubs. it's not a question of Bush winning, it's a case of AMERICA winning....get 'em in, get 'em out. Oh well, I guess whatever happens is gonna happen. Only the "boots on the ground" are going to make the difference...enough of that stuff.
Yesterday was a wonderful day. We took a day trip to Billings, MT and did some shopping. The ol' Coyote got some neat tools and we went to Costco and got some neat stuff. We got to eat at a "chain" restaurant, Applebees...and it was good. Coyote loves food!!! The ride up and back was very pleasant, no deer or antenna-lope running in the street, just on the pasture sides, thank heaven. We worry up and back about injuring or killing an animal. I saw 2 deer on the side of the road, makes me so sad. We got home after dark and found everything safe here.
Oh, guess what I did today...I'm so excited. My windmill blew down in August (2006) and I've wanted another one but, I'm affraid it will have the same fate. So, Coyote called this place in Powell, it's about 30 miles from us, but has the same winds. They sell windmills for real. I mean they are working windmills @ $500. a pop. Well, Coyote was not excited about spending that much money for a windmill to sit in our yard. So, today, Mr. Olson called about windmills. He said that he found from the same company, ornamental windmills that are considerably less. I was so excited, I wrote him a check for a deposit and he will call when they come in. I want a galvanized with red. He said they come, either a straight galvanized, or, white with red. So, if I have too, I will take the white with the red, but he said he would check to see if they would do the galvanized with the red. I don't really care....I want red on it and I want it in my yard. Mr. Olson sez they are ten feet tall...and they will hold up against our winds!!! Another thing we did was to call the roofman (this has nothing to do with my windmill). We had some heavyduty winds the other night, they were clocked at 70-75mph here. That was light compared to the other areas around us, thank heaven. But, nevertheless, we did incurr some minor damage, so Mr. roofman came out and checked our whole roof for us. All we have is some minor damage that he will take care of when the weather warms up. That was super, too. I don't like spending money or repair jobs.
Ok, so, let's see, what have I missed, oh yeah. I forgot to tell you about our friend. We know a family that owns and operates their own Mexican restaurant, here in Cody, called Julian's. Their food is really good. It's Lynn & Chris and their two kids, Gabby, just graduated H.S. and Chris who is a junior at H.S.. Anyway, we went in (first time since the holidays) Gabby was waiting tables, and we asked how everyone was. She said her dad has been sick. Then she went to get our drinks and her mom (Lynn) came out and started talking about Chris (her husband, Gabby's father). She said that he had his tonsils removed ( he's 39 yrs. old) and then he went downhill from there. Then she left to prepare our food. After Gabby served us, Lynn came back out (it was late and everyone had had their lunch and was gone) so she sat and told us his story. Wow, what he has been thru. What the whole family has been thru. After the surgery, he developed a sinus infection. The sinus infection went into the bone behind his ear. He spent time in the hospital, had to have surgery on the infected bone and he still hasn't recovered. Their doctor practices in Billings, so when he has to go to the doctor, Lynn has to close the restaurant and take the whole day off. If the doctor wants him to spend more time there then the restaurant stays closed until they come back from Billings. (Billings is a two hour drive from Cody.) It's just incredible what they have gone thru, just because his parents didn't have his tonsils removed when he was a child. Wow, it really made me feel blessed that my folks had mine removed when I was young. And when they grew back, they had them removed again. That was when I was 15 and that hurt like a son of a gun....I can't even imagine the pain and problems Chris has gone thru.
Our internet went out today, of course, just when I was trying to transfer some funds. Why does Murphy's Law always come into play... How did Murphy's Law even get started? I guess I will have to google that one, now I'm curious. Let's see, what do I need to do tomorrow. I know, after I get my chores done, I think I will go see Sandy at Verizon and check out the phones. I want to get one that I can download my tunes, I miss my ringtone tunes. That will be a fun thing to do on a Thursday. My friend Gail has to get her esophagous scoped tomorrow, so I hope she comes thru that ok. I think she needs to take prevacid or something like that...it works for me! It's getting about that time, so I guess I should close for now, happy dreams!
Good night...

SWEET SUNDAY
Happy wwwiiiiiiiinnnnnnddddddyyy Sunday to you!!!! It's still blowing here. I want my snow...what was it that George I quoted from Dana Carvey....."Ain't gonna happen, wouldn't be prudent..." hummmmm, what can I say. Oh well, I know we will get snow sometime. Except, now I heard that this is an El Nino year and it is supposed to be the hottest yet!!! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Better stock up on the water...good old sams bottled water. It's good for (I think) 2 years, surely it will get used by then. I know it would at this house. And, also, batteries. So when the electricity goes out, you can use those battery operated fans and flashlights.
So what did you all do on this fine first Sunday of the New Year? I went to church for a little, then came home and rested for awhile, and then got on the computer. I'm searching....I want another toy... I have decided that I don't like having my phone and pda all together. So now, I want a really cool phone that has a camera and that I can DOWNLOAD my favorite tunes. I miss not knowing who is calling me. With the Treo it only has stuffy rings that are boring. And, I'm so affraid that I am going to leave my phone/treo somewhere and sheer panic would set in, totally, instantly.....like, I would bust out balling. I just can't handle that pressure anymore. My brain's memory chip is full and I can't remember or think of half the stuff I used to, sheeesh!
Well, the Ol' Coyote is glued to Myth Busters (a little goes a long way for me) so I am trying to get all this done before the dinner bell rings. Lasagne tonight, yum.
Anyway, I have been trying to find this HP, IPAQ model #HX2495. It's really cool and I can hook up to the wifi wherever there is one available, like, oh I don't know, since I'm in Cody, WY, it's not going to be at the local Starbucks.....LOL So, it will just have to be our local Mickey Deeeeeeeeeeees! But anyone I visit, or any place I go with wifi, I can just log on to this neat little toy and my phone will be separate so I can hear my fun little, oh...so&so is calling....yaaaaaaa!
Now you probably are rolling your eyes and going, oh brother, where did she come up with this one....well, it was because of our company. Tim has one, and it is so cool, you don't have to pay for the internet because you just mooch of someone else, works for me, I have wifi and I don't mind sharing with a select few....anyway, It also hooks up with any bluetooth stuff, now this is where I am confused. If it works with bluetooth stuff, shouldn't I just be able to use my bluetooth for my phone, well, I don't have any paperwork, so I have to look into that. Also, I don't think I want to walk around with "the star ship enterprise" in my ear all day long! But, I'm excited...another toy. Boy, I wish I could get the Las Vegas channel for Tuesday. That's the day all the new techy toys are being displayed and I hear....Apple is going to run away with the best toy. That's ok....maybe then, my toy will go down in price and I can get it sooner....who knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwws!
OK, it's about that time, I can hear that bell, getting ready to ding...So I will wish you all a good evening. We had a lot of fun with our friends. They were only here 2 sleeps and one day, so we had to hussle. We went to Wallmart, of course, for supplies, then the Museum, the Mural Bldg., The Irma for a dinner, and Bubba's for a breakfast. We had an elk roast here for dinner. We did well. Laughed and talked and ate like Kings. The only thing I didn't get to do was take Helen to the Willow Fence Tea Garden.....Now that place is worth coming to Cody!!!
Just one more little note, Curi (Miss Kitty) seems to be doing better, whew, I'm so glad, hope she continues until she is alllllllll better.
Here's to happy eating and a good evening, Good Night
SIX DAYS OUT
Hi everyone....like no one reads this anyway, but I can pretend....So how have the first 6 days of your life been in the year of 2007. You know, after talking to some of my friends and family...not a whole lot has changed. I wanted 2007 to really be great! It's really being slow about it's greatness. I guess I should be thankful for small things, it could be a lot worse. At least, I have some family and friends, and still have a country that is free (according to "their" rules). It is better than any other nation around, so I'm really glad I'm here. Here in Wyoming, in my nice warm little house with my hubby, and my not so well kitty and my two dogs. I'm praying a lot for my house to stay in Wyoming. Boy, I can't believe that Dorothy lived in Kansas with Toto and they blew away....I've been to Kansas (not during a tornado, thank heaven) and it dosen't blow as much there as it does here. The ol' Coyote can't even go outside to take the Christmas tree down, because the wind will blow him away. They keep saying that it's gong to snow, and we keep hoping, but, this is day #6 and we haven't seen any yet. It must all be blowing over to South Dakota.
Oh well, this has been a very traumatic year thus far. We got thru day two with no problems, I thought for sure we were on our way. Scrrrrrrrrech, the brakes came on quick with Miss Kitty having a seizure on the third. We took her to Dr. Kristen and she took exrays and blood work. The only thing that is abnormal is her muscle enzymes. They are supposed to be 400 and her's are up to 23,000. What does that mean? I still don't know because we haven't heard why. They have to retest, so luckily they had enough blood left to retest. Anyway, I do believe that the seizure caused some damage somewhere. She can still walk the walk and talk the talk, but it did take her awhile to start talking. She would purrrrrrr, but not meow, weird? Now she seems ok, but very much slower than before, so I'm just grateful she is still with us for the time she has left.
After that trauma, Coyote took me to the doc's for an appointment. It seems I have some lumps, they are called lypomas. The doc figured out where they were and proceeded to say, "we can remove these, in the office"...cool, save me some money. Well, long story short, two and one half hours later... he made the decision that we would schedule the Surgical Center for the removal of the other two. I'm tough, but, dang, they couldn't find the silver bullet, and let me tell you....I hurt! Oh well, I guess I'll get over it. Phone call: OMG...Woody just called and said that Tigger just punched out a 14 yr. old boy at the park....wow, never a dull moment. I guess that kid isn't having such a good 2007 yet, either.
OMG...gulp, I didn't mean to omit her....she's one of the bestest.... I do have five granddaughters, however, I do need her numbers, for the legal beagle....stuff. I've asked before, and I still need yous's and her's ..... ;)
That was exciting, I had a post!!!!!! and it was a happy one.....thanks, lips....I wondered why I didn't get any cherries.....and I DIDN'T GET any cherries, from nobody, snifff, sniff.....poooooor meeeee. I think Walmart is predjudice against dark chocolate....and especially Cella dark covered cherries, with the clear syrup, it's the best, in case any people are readding this. And speaking of good things, Eragon is really good, too. And even the Night at the Museum...I don't like Stiller, but the show get's good. Robin Williams was my fav.....wow, that man is great whether he is acting or being a comedian.....and good ol' Owen Wilson, was good ol' Owen Wilson....what can I say...oh, I have to say one more thing, I just love Dick Van Dyke, too.
OK, I think I'm done, the Coyote is wantin' to go to bed....so, good night!
